Thomson LXX · Updated 23 September 2026
Scope
This notice covers Thomson LXX (Thomson Septuagint), including its separately labelled Brenton collection, in the installed Android/iOS reader and standalone offline desktop file, and these information pages at https://septuaginta-interlinear.de/thomson-lxx/. The reader is an independent project of Wort zur Wahrheit Apps, not a service of the historical translators. The website serves information and contact links; it does not receive or synchronize your local study entries.
Controller and contact
Wort zur Wahrheit Apps — Christian Ehrnsperger, c/o Online-Impressum 1942, Europaring 90, 53757 Sankt Augustin, Deutschland (Germany). Email: wortfuerwort.app@gmail.com. The operator is responsible for support enquiries and the app's privacy information. The second contact route is available under Legal notice / Impressum. No registration is required to read or study.
Public website hosting
These information pages are hosted by Hostinger International Limited, 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The hosting dashboard identifies the server location as Frankfurt, Germany and the backup location as France. Requests are processed to deliver the pages, maintain availability, diagnose errors and protect the service. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure information website. Hostinger publishes its processing terms and subprocessors through the links below; support or subprocessor operations can involve countries outside the EEA under the safeguards described there.
Website request and security data
When you visit a page, the server receives your IP address, request time, requested resource, request/response information and the browser/device information supplied in HTTP headers. The hosting dashboard can derive country and aggregate traffic statistics from these server records. They are not combined by this reader with your notes, search terms or reading history. We do not install advertising or audience-tracking scripts, third-party fonts, tracking pixels or embedded media on these pages. The pages themselves set no cookies and write no browser storage.
Website retention
Hosting request and security records are retained for as long as required to operate, secure and troubleshoot the hosting service under the applicable provider arrangements. Where records are needed for a specific incident, legal obligation or legal claim, relevant records may be retained until that purpose ends. There is no separately maintained long-term visitor profile or exported visitor-log archive operated by these information pages. Contact the controller for a request concerning identifiable website records. The provider privacy and processing information is linked below.
Local reading and study data
Reading position, preferences, notes, highlights and bookmarks are stored locally on your device. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking SDK, push registration or developer-operated cloud synchronization. It does not send your search terms, reading history or study notes to the operator. Bible text and app resources are bundled for offline reading. No automated decision-making or user profiling is performed by the app.
Local storage and purpose
Device storage is used to provide the reading, note-taking and recovery functions you request (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Local data remains until removed. Android/iOS or browser backup, clipboard synchronization and device-transfer services may copy data according to your system settings; these services are not controlled by this app. A previous saved state, legacy entries and recovery snapshots can retain an earlier version of an entry after you edit or remove it.
Backups and security
Export creates an unencrypted JSON file containing saved notes, bookmarks, highlights, reading position and display settings. You choose where to save or share it. On native devices a copy is written to the app's private cache for the system share dialog; it may remain until cache cleanup or app-data deletion. The reader does not add its own encryption to study storage or exported files. Use a device lock and protect backups, especially if notes contain personal information. No exported study backup is uploaded to the operator automatically.
Deleting local data
Use Study to remove individual saved items. Unsaved note drafts can be discarded in the note editor. For complete local removal, clear this app's data in Android settings or delete the app on iOS rather than merely offloading it; in a browser remove the relevant site/file storage through browser settings. This also removes local recovery copies and preferences. Separately delete exported files, shared copies and any operating-system/cloud backups you no longer want. The operator cannot remotely access or erase data stored only on your device. There is no app account to delete.
Note drafts and issue-report drafts
Unsaved study-note drafts are saved locally until saved or discarded. The Report an issue form behaves differently: its draft stays only in the current app window's memory and is lost when the app closes or reloads. The form uses the category, optional passage/edition and description you enter and adds the app version. It does not attach device identifiers, stored study notes, reading history or logs. Copy report puts this prepared text on your clipboard.
Support and error reports
Open email draft hands the prepared report to your email application. It is not an automatic submission: you review and send it there. If you send a message, the operator receives its content, your email address, any sender name, email metadata and attachments you choose to include. These data are used to answer your enquiry, investigate errors and maintain the reader. Ordinary support processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in responding and improving reliability; Article 6(1)(b) applies where a request concerns a contract or steps you request before a contract. Providing contact data is voluntary; reading works without it, but an email reply requires a return address. Please do not send passwords, unnecessary private notes, or information revealing religious beliefs or other sensitive personal details about yourself or others.
Support recipients and international processing
The operator uses an ordinary Gmail mailbox, not Google Workspace, to receive support messages. Google and email-delivery providers process messages and technical data to deliver and store correspondence; processing can take place outside the EEA. Google describes the safeguards it uses for international transfers in the linked information. No account-specific Google Workspace processing agreement is asserted for this mailbox. Ordinary email is not guaranteed to be end-to-end encrypted. The second contact route opens an external address-service website with its own privacy notice. Postal enquiries via the c/o address are handled by that address service for delivery to the operator.
Support retention
Support correspondence is retained while needed to answer the enquiry and resolve related follow-up questions, then deleted or anonymized unless a specific legal retention duty or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims requires longer retention. In that case access and further use are limited to that purpose. A factual software or text correction can be retained without the reporter's contact details. Your email provider and any recipients you choose may keep their own copies under their policies.
Copy, share and external links
Copy places selected text on the system clipboard. Share hands the selected passage to a destination you choose; it does not attach your saved personal notes. Your operating system, clipboard tools and chosen service may process that text under their own policies. External source, contact and authority links open only when selected; the external service can then receive your IP address and browser information. No external fonts, embedded videos or social widgets are loaded by the reader. Store downloads and system services have their own privacy notices.
Updates
The bell records locally whether this version's release notes have been read. It does not request a notification permission or register for push messages. A hosted browser build can request app files from its own host and prompt before activating an update. The installed native app and standalone offline file do not contact an app-update server. Store-managed updates are handled by the respective store.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. Contact the controller above. You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, including the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), responsible for private-sector controllers based in Bavaria. The c/o mailing address does not change the operator's stated establishment in Bavaria.
Changes
This notice must be reviewed before introducing accounts, remote content services, analytics, advertisements or cloud synchronization. It describes the current offline-first test edition; it is not a declaration that every future feature has the same data flows.
