Purpose
Thomson Septuagint is an English reading and study application. This free test edition includes all 39 main books in the Thomson collection plus the separate Psalm 151. Sixteen additional LXX writings are presented in a visibly separate Brenton 1851 collection. No account, payment or subscription is required.
Text and permitted use
The source repository identifies its Thomson transcription with the Public Domain Mark 1.0 as free of known copyright restrictions. eBible identifies Brenton's 1851 translation as public domain. Neither statement is a CC0 dedication or a worldwide warranty. Software and assets have separate terms. Both source records and bundled software licence notices are retained under Text & licences. These terms do not restrict permissions granted by those licences or rights in public-domain material.
Edition and numbering
The primary collection uses the Thomson transcription based on the Pells 1904 printing, according to its source repository. The separately marked additional LXX writings use Brenton's 1851 English translation, not Thomson. No Brenton wording fills Thomson verse gaps. Greek Esther and Greek Daniel are distinct Brenton alternatives. This is not the later Muses revision, a modernized translation or a new Greek critical edition. Searchable verse divisions and documented boundary adjustments are explained under Text & licences and beside the affected passages. Empty Thomson reference slots carry editorial notes, not invented biblical text. Independent proofreading remains pending.
Accuracy and availability
Please compare important study conclusions with the source edition. Textual or software errors may still occur. The reader is provided for study without a promise of uninterrupted availability or of resolving every textual question. Mandatory statutory rights and liability remain unaffected.
